The following procedures are to ensure our compliance with the standards set forth by the County Health Department.
Morning Shift - Everyday each task must be completed before pool opening 9 am:

Chemical Tests
a. Test chlorine, pH and alkalinity following specific guidelines of test kit.
b. b. Add "alkalinity up" as need to balance total alkalinity (turn off flow cell for 30 minutes). -
Equipment Room Inspection
a. Check chemical controller PPM, ORP & pH. Calibrate if necessary (follow calibration instructions).
b. Check ChlorKing salt level.
c. Check water temperature.
d. Check flow meter readings to ensure proper turnover times as required by your local and state health codes. e. Check filter pressure and backwash if reading is 15 psi or higher than normal clean reading.
f. Check chlorine drum level and exchange if needed.
g. Check acid drum level to ensure adequate product level and refill if necessary (3 to 1, water to acid h. mixture,always wear appropriate personal protective equipment). Clean pump baskets.

Pool Cleaning
a. Clean, sweep and vacuum pool.
b. Clean tile.
c. Clean skimmer baskets.
d. Check skimmer weir and equalizers. -
Safety Inspection

Log all water tests, chemicals added and complete "Onsite Staff Daily Pool Checklist."

Notify pool manager of any problems found during inspection

Remove pool closed signs.
Afternoon Shift - Everyday each task must be completed at 12 pm.

Chemical Check
a. Test chlorine and pH.
b. Check chemical controller PPM, ORP, pH. Calibrate if necessary (follow calibration instructions).

Log all water tests and complete "Onsite Staff Daily Pool Checklist."

Notify pool manager of any problems found during inspection.
Evening Shift - Everyday each task must be completed before closing.

Chemical Check at 3 pm.
a. Test chlorine and pH.
b. Check chemical controller PPM, ORP, pH. Calibrate if necessary (follow calibration instructions).

Log all water tests, chemicals added and complete "Onsite Staff Daily Pool Checklist."

If phosphate level exceeds 300, add daily maintenance dose of phosphate & clarifier remover after pool is closed
until levels are acceptable.

Post closing signage at 9 pm.

Pool shocking - pool may be shocked after closing in the event of cloudy water, heavy usage (resulting in
combined chlorine readings exceeding 0.2) and/or contamination (turn off flow cell until you are below 10 ppm
free chlorine).

Notify pool manager of any problems found during inspection.
