      How to Check ORP Probe Calibration

      Checking ORP probe calibration can be done to determine if ORP probe is still tracking correctly.


      Items needed:

      1) ORP probe connected to controller

      2) Buffer solution 650mV

      3) Glass of water. 

       

      * Note Redox is another term for ORP 

      Steps: 

      1. Make sure the ORP probe is connected to controller
      2. Isolate controller from flow
      3. Unscrew ORP probe from probe housing
      4. Wash probe in water
      5. Shake off probe
      6. Go to calibration menu click on mV calibration
      7. Immerse probe into buffer solution 650 mV
      8. Wait until the number under reading stabilizes 
      9. Calibrate probe under P2
      10. Save
      11. Wash probe in clean water
      12. Shake off probe
      13. Place probe back into probe container 
      14. Turn on flow to controller


      Troubleshooting: If when the probe is immersed in the buffer solution the reading on the calibration screen does not match the buffer solution, your probe needs to be replaced.
