How to perform a full pH probe calibration on an Edge 100 and 200
Learn how to use the pH full calibration function for Edge 100 and 200 controllers.
A full calibration is needed:
1) to confirm that probe is still tracking
2) if you are constantly calibrating a full calibration will help completely calibrate the probe.
Items needed:
1) pH probe connected to controller
2) Buffer solution pH 7 and Ph 4 or Ph9
3) Glass of water.
Steps:
- Make sure the pH probe is connected to controller
- Isolate controller from flow
- Unscrew pH probe from probe housing
- Wash probe in water
- Shake off probe
- Go to calibration menu click on Ph calibration click on full calibration
- Immerse probe into buffer solution pH 7
- Wait till the number under reading stabilizes
- Calibrate probe under P1
- Wash probe in water
- Shake off probe
- Immerse probe into buffer solution pH 4 or pH 9
- Wait till the number under reading stabilizes
- Calibrate probe under P2
- Save
- Wash probe in clean water
- Shake off probe
- Replace probe into probe container
- Turn on flow to controller
- Wait a few hours to manual test and make sure controller matches
Troubleshooting: If when the probe is immersed in the buffer solution the reading on the calibration screen does not match the buffer solution, your probe needs to be replaced.
If the pH still needs to be calibrated multiple times after full calibration your probe needs to be replaced.
