Here are the directions on how to use an IDIP exact Photometer.
Directions for testing Free Chlorine, Total Chlorine, Bromine, Alkalinity, Calcium Hardness, Copper, pH, and Phosphate.
- Power on Photometer
- Power the ZERO/ON button to power on IDIP.
- Fill Cell
- Rinse cell at least 3 times and fill cell with water sample to be tested. *Fill cell to capacity to begin test.
- Select Test
- Press and re-press MENU button until the display shows selected test.
- Cap Cell and Zero Meter
- Place the cell cover onto the cell and press ZERO/ON and the photometer display reads 0.00. This indicates the meter is ready for testing.
- Remove Strip
- Remove one Exact strip from selected test container. *remember to store your strips in original container in a dry place.
- Dip Strip and Press Read
- Press READ to initiate countdown and simultaneously dip Exact strip in the sample gently touching the bottom of the cell.
- Use gentle back and forth motions until timer displays 1.
- Cap Cell and Read Results
- Place the cell cover onton the cell and read results.
Tips for using IDIP testers:
- For best results, use cell cover when zeroing and reading samples.
- Before testing rinse cell and clean with brush
- Always fill cell to capacity
- Run pH tests before running Chlorine. If you run chlorine first, make sure to clean cell thoroughly.
- Do not use and discard strips that are smaller or larger than normal.
- Calibrate when needed. Make sure to record calibration to compare with previous calibrations.
- Store IDIP and test strips below in cool dry location.
